I had a brilliant time; I had no idea how much I really would enjoy being part of a choir again....now I can't imagine my life without it. I've only been with the choir for two months (and by rights I probably shouldn't have done the concert last night but I'm obsessed and slightly insane and learnt my words in a month as we were'nt allowed our music infront of us [which is why I possibly shouldn't have done the concert seeing as I'm still a newbie] so all is good) and last night I had an absolute blast.

1) It helped reunite me and my best friend from University who I haven't seen in three years (not since our graduation day).
If I hadn't offered another member of the choir a lift home, I would not have switched on my phone to discover that my best friend was back in Wales for a few days and wanted to meet up (which we did and it was brilliant seeing her again; like nothing had changed; like no time had passed at all)
2) It introduced me to my new fandom: NEWSIES
I love this musical!
We're singing "Seize the day" from Newsies at our concert at the end of October and it's a song the rest of the choir did at their summer concert. I'd never heard it before but as soon as the others started singing it I fell in love. I went home, looked it up, watched the entire film on youtube, grumbled about the fact that it was only available from America, ordered both the DVD and CD soundtrack anyway and became completely and utterly obsessed!
It is just a really great musical, a great film and I love it!
